Today we spent another day in Nha Trang visiting the Vinpearl resort. ItsĀ aptly named the pearl of vietnam. We took a speed boat across the bay to the island. The view is very scenic, however it appears a lot of the resort island is under development. The shopping center was still full of empty shops. Room rates command a high premium price accounting for the sparse hotel guests. The beach front has a good view. If you can afford it and want only to stay on the island its very nice with a lot of undeveloped potential. Tomorrow we are heading back to Saigon for more relaxation.

I was recently in Scarborough and York, U.K. We were there in the off season and you can see beach is near empty. Still, it does have a spectacular view of the North Sea.
Our next stop was the York Minister, its the largest Gothic cathedral in Europe. The Minister was very historic architecturally and have interesting artifacts in the lower crypt area.
A typical street scene in York. York was definitely more urban than Scarborough. The streets were crowded with visitors and it had plenty of shops to explore. Try the chocolate fudge and the Jelly bean shake.
